A Historic Launch of MediaVerse: Creativity and Inclusivity

The journey began with collaborative brainstorming sessions, where students shaped the magazine’s focus and format. Divided into editorial, design, marketing, and outreach teams, they developed sections ranging from Comics & Cartoons to Fiction & Poetry, International Affairs, Lifestyle, Games & Puzzles, and more. After months of hard work,

MediaVerse was successfully launched in both print and digital formats.

MediaVerse Launch Event Highlights

The official launch took place on September 5, 2024, at the Chinese Teachers Memorial Auditorium, University of Karachi.

The event attracted over 500 attendees, including students, faculty, media professionals, and industry leaders.

Key highlights included:

  • A powerful panel discussion on “Contentpreneurship in the Age of Digital Media and AI,” featuring
    • Hasan Daudpota, Asad Memon, Bilal Hassan, Usman Riaz, Amtul Baweja
    • Moderated by Maham Khalid
  • Attendance by prominent personalities like Wajid Khan, Babar Mangi, and journalist Buraq Shabbir
    • Signing of a landmark MoU with IO Digital, solidifying a long-term tech partnership

Over 14 major media outlets, including Bol News, Hum News, Jung, ARY News, Dawn, PTV, and Royal News, covered the event, amplifying its reach across Pakistan.

An Inclusive Milestone

MediaVerse set a new standard in inclusivity:

  • Braille edition of the magazine launched for visually impaired readers
  • Entire event interpreted in sign language in partnership with ConnectHear
  • First event of its kind at the University of Karachi to center accessibility for all
